CEO, Vocento, Spain

Luis Enriquez was appointed CEO of Vocento in July 2011. He holds a BA Hons degree in Business and Economics from ICADE.

From 1995 to 2000 he worked as Managing Director of Aurum Producciones. In 2000 he joined Unidad Editorial as Director of the Group's regional media. In 2007 was promoted to Managing Director of the entire publishing Group Unidad Editorial (Marca, El Mundo & Expansión).

At Vocento, Enriquez has placed his management focus on newsroom and newspapers (print and digital) independence. Under his leadership, Vocento has boosted its revenue, improving distribution margins and product sales while enhancing and accelerating its digital offering. To date Vocento is the only publishing group in Spain that has implemented a successful paywall model.

Author of the book "The Reinvention of the New York Times" and editor of the weekly newsletter Tendenci@s on the latest digital media trends. Ismael Nafría is an independent journalist, writer, editor, consultant and speaker specialized in digital media. He was journalist in residence at The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at University of Texas at Austin for the 2016-2017 during which he wrote his book on the NYTimes, his fourth. He was the Digital Innovation and Content Director (2011-2016) at Grupo Godo and deputy editor at Prisacom, the Internet company of Grupo PRISA (2005-2008) . He has led several consultancy projects for media companies worldwide and is the author of three other books on journalism and digital media. Head of Publishing, Schibsted Norway

Torry Pedersen has been assigned responsibility for Schibsted's Norwegian media houses in January 2017. Prior to that he was the CEO/Editor in Chief of Verdens Gang AS, Norway’s most read news-site/newspaper. He started his career as a journalist in Fredrikstad Blad 1981, and has more than 30 years of experience in journalism and publishing. Pedersen has been Managing Editor in VG, Editor in Chief/Publisher in VG Multimedia AS, CEO of Verdens Gang AS and from 2011 both CEO and Editor in Chief of Verdens Gang AS. He is currently a member of the board in Schibsted ASA. Pedersen was educated at the Norwegian School of Management (former Bedriftsøkonomisk Institutt), Oslo 1979 and he holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. He has been awarded the "Chief Editor of the Year Award" in Norway, and during his time as Editor in Chief and CEO, Verdens Gangs has won several prices.

Publisher, El Mostrador, Chile

Max Raide studied law at the Los Andes University. He has been a columnist and journalist collaborator of the newspaper La Segunda, El Mercurio (Economy and Business), of the Capital Magazine, Poder Magazine,  El Mostrador Newspaper and Americas Q Magazine (New York).

He was elected in 2006 by Caras Ego Magazine(Televisa) as the Entrepreneur or the year, in 2007 Capital Magazine made him a Profile as one of the young leaders  with more projection in Chile, and 2009 was awarded by the Investigation Police for their Leadership and Entrepreneurship. He has been a permanent guest since 2008 at theASCOA Conference in New York (United Nations) and Washington (White House) by the Council of the Americas which chairs David Rockefeller and Susan Segal.

In 2006, founded Jóvenes Líderes, in partnership with Economy and Business (El Mercurio) with the objective of motivating young university students and secondary students to participate in public, social and entrepreneurial programs, regardless of their social, political and religious condition. Being one of the first institutions to raise the problems of high indebtedness of young people, the poor quality of social housing, among other issues, in public opinion. More than 20 thousand young people have participated actively in all Chile.

 He was invited by Agustín Edwards, President of El Mercurio to be Director from 2010 to 2013 of Corporation Mañana, focused on reinserting in the companies people with addiction to drugs and alcohol, and who have managed to be rehabilitated.

In 2008 founded with his brothers Domingo and Juan Pablo, the company Leadership Group focused on the gastronomic area (Coffe shop Meetpoint and Restaurant Las Cujas), in the cultural area promoting emerging artists (Arts & Flavors) and in the social area through events for entrepreneurs and young executives looking to generate networking (Tardes & Noches). In total, 45 people work daily in this company and more than 100 thousand people have participated in all these instances.

 The Leadership Forum was founded in 2014 as an instance of meeting among the different sectors of society. They are held every month along with representatives from the public, business, cultural and educational world, and media.

Since 2015, He was invited by Federico Joannon, Founder of El Mostrador to be the first “Publisher” of the newspaper El Mostrador,  consolidating it as an independent and 100% digital medium, with more than 3.0 million monthly readers, more than 1.5 followers en social network,  partnership with Financial Times, Bloomberg, BBC, and annual commercial growth of 75% (2016).

Chief Digital Officer, PRISA News, Spain

Noemí Ramírez is Chief Digital Officer at PRISA News (El País, As, among others) where she leads the Product, Analytics and Audience Development areas, accordingly to the business' strategy, objectives and digital transformation process. Previously, She was Product Director at PRISA Innovation, chief editor at El Mundo and worked at Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), the largest investigative journalism association in the US. She has a Master in Journalism from Missouri University, thanks to a Fulbright Scholarship. She is an habitual speaker at several digital media trends fora.

Editorial Director, Gazeta do Povo, Brazil

Leonardo Mendes Júnior is the editorial director at Gazeta do Povo, the most traditional and influential newspaper from Paraná state, in Brazil, with more than 6 Million readers by month. He leads the digital transition of the outlet, which shut down the daily print edition and is with complete focus in a mobile first and subscription first product.

He is journalist graduated from Paraná Catholic University and a Master in Communication Management from ISE. Previously, he worked with sports on radios LBV, Clube, CBN e 98 and was editor-in-chief on the Brazilian ESPN the Magazine. He wrote the Politically Incorrect Guide Football, in partnership with Jones Rossi. At Gazeta do Povo, he worked as reporter, editor, blogger, columnist and executive editor before became editorial director.
