Alan Hunter has been head of digital at The Times and The Sunday Times since December 2013. Prior to that he was executive managing editor of both titles, having served in a variety of editorial positions on The Sunday Times including News Review editor, Focus editor and deputy sports editor. He was in charge of the paper’s coverage of the 2012 Olympics and the 2010 general election. As head of digital he has led the move to edition-based publishing on smartphone and web which has seen dramatic increases in usage and subscriptions.
