Eamonn Byrne progressed through the advertising & commercial departments of prestigious regional newspaper groups to become Commercial Director and MD of newspaper titles. He has been Deputy Director General & Business Director of the World Association of Newspapers for 7 years and speaks regularly at major international events on newspaper strategy and was for 10 years until 2010, the responsible consultant/partner for research, business and content strategy for the World Association of Newspapers. Eamonn continues his association with WAN-IFRA as special Advisor and consultant on Media Development Projects to the WAN-IFRA Press Freedom and Media Development Board.
