    In recent years he has specialized in digital marketing, developing inbound techniques to achieve the objectives of the marketing plan.

    Iain Martin

    Iain Martin is the Asia Editor for Storyful. Storyful has a team of six people in its Hong Kong bureau working to discover the best stories, photos and video from social media in Asia. Iain joined Storyful in 2012 after working as a financial journalist in London since 2007.

    Alejandro Martínez Peónis CEO of the Group’s news division, PRISA Noticias. He held the same position at TeleCable between October 2009 and August 2017. Previously, between 2000 and 2009, he held a range of senior management positions at Grupo Teléfonica, both in Spain and Latin America. He began his career at Arthur Andersen in 1995. 

    He has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Oviedo, and he also studied at The London School of Economics and Political Science and at Stanford University.

She is the recipient of several media awards including the Padmashri in 2000. She is an astute observer on the socio-ecomomic and political issues of India's North East and its varied conflicts and writes columns for several news portals on issues related to the region.

Earlier, he worked as Business Head with Bharatmatrimony and built up a new business: Matrimonydirectory.com, a wedding services business which became India´s largest wedding services portal with maximum listings from the marriage services. 

    He also worked with Indiamart.com for almost 14 years where he initially joined as a start up employee and was an integral part of the company´s growth from 7 to 3,500 employees.

    Jayant Mammen Mathew is the Executive Editor and Director of Malayala Manorama Company, one of India’s largest media companies with a significant presence in Print, Television, Radio and Onine. He is currently the President of the Indian Newspaper Society (INS), for the year 2018-19. Malayala Manorama is India’s largest selling regional newspaper with a daily circulation of 2.3 million. The company also publishes more than 40 titles in various languages and operates Radio Mango, Kerala’s No. 1 FM station and ManoramaOnline, one of the largest portals. Jayant played a major role in the company venturing in to television broadcasting. He spends considerable time expanding the television business. MM TV, broadcasts Manorama News, a 24-hour news and current affairs television channel and Mazhavil Manorama, an entertainment channel. Both the television channels, have won numerous awards, including the best regional news channel of India. Recently MM TV launched ManoramaMax, the first Malayalam news and entertainment OTT streaming service. In addition to his role at MM TV, he continues to provide leadership in Malayala Manorama Company, where he oversees several publications and continues to write for the newspaper on business, economics and technology. Prior to joining Malayala Manorama, he was an Associate Editor at Electronic News, a unit of Cahners Publishing in New York, where he specialized in finance and technology coverage. His articles at Electronic News won the Gold Award for feature series instituted by the American Society of Business Publication Editors. Jayant wrote for Malayala Manorama and The Week from New York for several years. He co-wrote the Man of the Year feature for The Week that won a South Asian Journalists Association Award in 2000. Jayant also worked for Bridge News, a financial news service in New York. His articles have appeared in several publications, including Business Week Online and The Economic Times. Prior to this, he worked in corporate finance for News Corp. in New York and Fox Television in Los Angeles. He received a BE in electronics and communication engineering from Mangalore University, an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh and an MS in journalism from Columbia University, New York.

    Mariam Mammen Mathew is the Chief Operating Officer of Manorama Online, the new media group of Malayala Manorama. Before joining Malayala Manorama, Mathew was with Chase Manhattan Bank in the Management Consulting Center and then at Lab Morgan in J P Morgan, New York. She is a member of the governing council of the Internet and Mobile Association of India. Established in 1888, Malayala Manorama is India’s third largest circulated daily newspaper with more than 1.7 million copies. Malayala Manorama Group is one of the largest publishing companies in India with over 40 publications.

    The group also runs Manorama News, a 24-hour news channel, which is the number one news channel in Kerala, and Radio Mango, FM stations in Kerala. Manoramaonline.com was launched in 1997 and then re-launched in 2002 as a comprehensive portal. With more than 500 million page views a month, it is one of the largest websites in the country.

    Jude Mathurine has worked extensively in journalism education and media development in South and Southern Africa for over two decades.He led the Journalism programme at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology for over four years where he helped set new standards in curriculum development, programme leadership and teaching and learning. At Rhodes University's School of Journalism and Media Studies (2007), he wore several hats including head of the New Media Lab, digital editor for South Africa’s oldest independent newspaper, Grocott's Mail. Jude has held roles at the Media Institute of Southern Africa and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Media programme for sub-Sahara Africa. Jude has consulted widely as a digital journalism trainer and speaker. He has also held academic and leadership roles positions at the Durban University of Technology. Jude is a new media lecturer at Nelson Mandela University where he works to educate the next generation of smart journalism and media creatives for social good. His research focuses on media development and digital media leadership and innovation.

Since 1998 he teaches Desktop Publishing and Graphic Production in a Communication Design degree at the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre. His research field is Newspaper Design, History, Practice and Sustainability.

    Thomas Mattsson is responsible editor of the Swedish Expressen media house. Previously, he held the positions of head of Expressen's digital media and formerly Managing Editor, News Editor, Head of the Stockholm edition, Head if the Business Section.

    Expressen was awarded as "Newspaper of the Year" in 2016 and has 2.6 million readers per day in print and online. The paper ("Expressen") has two regional editions ("GT", "Kvallsposten") and the site ("Expressen.se") has several sub sites. Expressen TV is the Swedish affiliate to CNN.

The T Brand Studio is a result of the massive interest from advertisers looking to market their brands through the NYT platform. She never thought that her after-hours gig in improv comedy and performances in New York theaters would be her secret weapon for success in facing challenges in leadership and innovation.

    Brian McGrory, who served as a metro columnist, White House correspondent, and metro editor, is the editor of The Boston Globe.
     
    Born in November 1961, in Boston, he has lived in the city and the wider region almost all of life.
     
    McGrory joined the Globe in 1989 as a suburban reporter and held various roles before moving to the Washington Bureau as White House correspondent to cover Bill Clinton’s reelection campaign against Bob Dole, and then Clinton’s second term.
    McGrory moved back to Boston as a Metro columnist in 1998. He added the title of associate editor to his portfolio in 2004.
     
    In 2007, McGrory left column writing to become the paper’s Metro editor, formally the deputy managing editor for local news, running the newsroom’s largest department. He served in that position until January 1, 2010, when, by previous design, he returned to his twice-weekly column. He was named editor of the paper in December 2012.
     
    He won the Scripps-Howard award for commentary and the Sigma Delta Chi award for general column writing in 2011. The Globe was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Reporting in 2014 for its coverage of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, and for Feature Photography in 2016 for a 2015 report on rural poverty as seen through the eyes of one young boy in Maine. The organization has also won Pulitzer Prizes for editorial writing and commentary over that same span, and has been a finalist 10 other times over the past six years.
     
    McGrory has written five books.

  • Brett McKeehan, Director – Asia, CNN Digital Worldwide, Hong Kong

    He is the director of CNN Digital Worldwide covering Asia, based in Hong Kong. He
    is responsible for digital content strategy, content development and publishing across key
    regions including China, India, Australia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand and
    the Philippines. An award-winning journalist who is passionate about audience and data-centric
    approaches to digital strategy, McKeehan works closely with CNN's teams in London, Abu
    Dhabi, New York and Atlanta.

    McKeehan was previously Digital Editor at the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong, where
    he expanded the team and helped significantly increase the publication's reach across wider
    Asia and beyond. Before that, he held senior editorial and digital product positions with News
    Corp in Sydney and London.

    An Australian native, McKeehan has a Master's Degree in Digital Communication from the
    University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland.
