    Moris has worked with Kompas Gramedia since June 2017, with the role as VP Digital Sales. He overviews Kompas Gramedia Digital Assets from Kompas, Tribunnews, Grid Networks. Previously he had worked in Digital ad networks company since 2007 from Admax, Appier, and Exponential group acting from Business Director to Country Head. He worked also previously with Fox International Channels as Director for Sales and Partnerships.

    He got his MSc from European School of Management at Cote’d Azur, France majoring Project Management, and BSc from University of Oregon Majoring Economics.

    Johnny Ryan
    Dr. Johnny Ryan is Head of Ecosystem at PageFair, working to sustain online publishing and respond to the growing phenomenon of adblocking. Previously he was Executive Director of The Innovation Academy, and Chief Innovation Officer of The Irish Times, where he established a multi-million euro Big Data programme, and introduced startups inside the 154 year old newspaper. He has a PhD from the University of Cambridge, and was an associate on the emerging digital environment at the Judge Business School of the University of Cambridge from 2011-14. His second book "A History of the Internet and the Digital Future" is on the reading list at Harvard and Stanford.

Rolv Erik Ryssdal holds an MA in Business and Economics from the BI Norwegian School of Management and an MBA in Business and Administration from INSEAD, France.

While at Wipro Technologies, he co-conceptualized HOLMES AI platform in 2014, a pioneering initiative among the top IT services companies in India. He was the head of engineering of its flagship program - HOLMES EKYC. He also brings a wealth of experience in multiple domains across Banking, Capital Markets and Media.     Michael Sabath is editorial manager at Kleine Zeitung. This is a new function created in 2014, when the the regional Austrian newspaper with a circulation of 250,000 copies a day integrated their print and online newsrooms. He is in charge of personnel, infrastructure and related editorial change management. Prior to this position he was sports editor and managing editor. Sabath has been at Kleine Zeitung since 1984.

From 1990 – 1991 he was CFO Medical Tribune International, Frankfurt before he became Managing Director at Ostsee-Zeitung, Rostock from 1992 – 2006. In 2007 he was Managing Director Leipziger Volkszeitung, Leipzig before joining Schwäbisch Media.

    Rana Sabbagh is executive director at Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) – the region’s leading media support network spreading the culture of “accountability journalism” in nine Arab states since 2005.

    She has dedicated the last 33 years of her career as journalist, columnist and media trainer to promote free speech, independent media, “accountability journalism” and human rights.

    As former chief editor of the Jordan Times (1999-Jan 2002), she became the first Arab female in the history of the Levant to run a daily political newspaper. She is a former correspondent for Reuters International News Agency and The Times (London) and helped establish Jordan’s latest independent newspaper, Al-Ghad.

    Gaurav Sachdeva

    As Chief Product Officer, Gaurav is driving the vision, strategy, design, development and monetization of Singapore Press Holding’s digital media content and products. Backed with 15+ years of experience in technology, business strategy and product management, Gaurav was Head of Product for Growth team at Grab, Product Leader at Autodesk & Adobe driving their respective products portfolios, whilst defining the next generation strategy and steering core thinking for these products through business model transformation. Gaurav has an MBA from Indian School of Business (India), and has a background in computer science and engineering from Cambridge University (UK) and Delhi College of Engineering (India). Outside of work he dwells in photography and music, and was the lead singer of two Indian rock bands, which he co-founded.

    Guillaume Sachet is the Head of Strategic Planning at MediaCorp, where he drives group strategy, corporate development and innovation including mentoring startups in MediaCorp’s Mediapreneur incubator program. Currently, he sits on the board of Cubinet Interactive, a Malaysian digital games publisher, in which MediaCorp has a majority stake.

    He has 20 years of experience in the media and telecom industry. Prior to joining MediaCorp in May 2012, Guillaume was a Partner with the strategy practice of the consulting firm, Accenture, responsible for Communications, Media and Technology strategy clients across Southeast Asia. Over the years, he has developed deep media and telecom industry knowledge and expertise across the APAC region.

  • Ravi Saini, Deputy Chief Manager - Production, Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd, India

    Ravi Saini has more than 18 years of Industrial experience. He started his career with Web Machine Manufacturing Industry and has been working with BCCL for past 16 years in production department. He joined BCCL as a Production Officer in its New Delhi branch and is currently heading the Pre-press Department in its Sahibabad branch. He is also associated with Central Quality Group and led his team to won QCI National D L Shah Quality Award 2016. 

    He is a Printing Technologist & Graduate from University of Delhi.

    Vikram over his 28 years with Advertisers (P&G, Coca-Cola), Broadcaster (Star TV) and Agency (GroupM), and across Media, Brand Marketing and Marketing Research, has developed a conviction on how marketing grows brands. Vikram Sakhuja is an engineer from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Calcutta. He joined P&G in 1988 where over 8 years, he held positions in Marketing Research and Media. He then joined Coca-Cola where over 5 years he went on to manage the brand marketing portfolio. Post that Vikram spent a year with Star TV Network (Newscorp) setting up their marketing department as the EVP Marketing. From 2002 he has been with the WPP group. He was the Managing Director of MindShare South Asia; then was the CEO of GroupM South Asia for 6 years. From there, he took on the global role of WW CEO Maxus for two years. He has recently been appointed GroupM’s Global Strategic Development Officer, with a remit of driving data and technology deeper into the Media practice.

    Niddal Salah-Eldin is Director of Digital Innovation at Axel Springer’s WELT.  In this newly created function, she is part of the chief editorial staff and works on all matters relating to editorial development, partnerships, distribution, paid content and innovation at the intersection between editorial, product and tech.

    Prior to this position, Niddal was Head of Social Media. She studied communications, political science and journalism in Mainz and Washington, D.C. and holds a Magister/ Master’s degree. During her studies she gained practical experience working for ZDF German television, RTL and CNN in Germany and in the U.S., among others. After a stint working in a communications agency she is now following her passion for social media and journalism at “WELT”. In 2015 Niddal has been named one of the year’s top 30 under 30 in journalism (“medium magazin”).

    Sameera Salari is a Product Manager on Facebook’s News Monetization team, focused on User Pay Products and working to build products that empower publishers as they develop their paid audiences. She leads product teams focused on building acquisition and retention solutions aimed at supporting publishers across their Subscriptions, Memberships and Donations models. Before this, she worked on Suicide Prevention and Memorialization Products at Facebook, where she built products that helped to connect mental health resources to the people who need them and protect and respect the online profiles of those who have passed away. Sameera has a Bachelor of Arts in City and Regional Planning, and a minor in Public Policy from the University of California at Berkeley.

    Carlos Salas

    Carlos is a journalist graduated in the Peruvian University of Applied Science. He started working in El Comercio in 1997, first in the area of Community Expansion and then in Sports. Since 2006 it was editor and in 2014 took over the responsibility of this section both for digital and print.

    In 2009 was founder professor of the first Degree in Sport Journalism in Peru, in the San Ignacio de Loyola Institute. He has been teaching for more than 7 years.

    Gabriel Sama is the editor-in-chief of CNET en Español, a technology site based in San Francisco, California. Gabriel has more than 20 years of experience in the publishing world and is an expert in launching new projects on all platforms. Gabriel has launched newspapers, magazines and websites as editorial director in Mexico and the United States for companies such as Editorial Televisa, Recoletos and CBS Interactive. Among those projects are the magazine Quo (Mexico, 1997), the newspaper chain Rumbo (San Antonio, Texas, 2004) and CNET en Español (San Francisco, California, 2013). He has also been an editorial consultant for projects in Mexico, El Salvador, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Dubai, Greece and Russia.

    Gabriel graduated from Communication at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico and has a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York, where he graduated with honors in 2000. He also received the prestigious Knight scholarship from Stanford University in 2010 Gabriel lives with his wife and children in Palo Alto, California.

    Ravin is an innovative executive producer/journalist with 10 years experience working in news and digital media. Previously, he was the executive producer for BBC Stories – the BBC’s first digital current affairs strand, where he built an audience engagement team for Digital Current Affairs. Ravin also worked as a senior broadcast journalist for BBC News and created the first Snapchat documentary for BBC Panorama as well as developed a number of new storytelling formats for BBC News and Current Affairs.

    He was identified as an “Emerging Leader” on the first BBC News Leadership programme. Before joining BBC, Ravin led the team behind NewsPoint, a digital newsgathering operation in London. His responsibilities there included finding the best user-generated video and picture content for breaking news stories, reporting on international news using social media content and acquiring and managing rights to content for clients. He also led the team that manages rights for UGC content on YouTube, helping users monetise their video when used for broadcast and across news websites.

    He was previously the editor of the award-winning citizen journalism site Blottr.com and has used social media for newsgathering to cover the Arab Spring, the London Riots, the Oslo shootings, the Mumbai bomb attacks, the Syria conflict, the Boston Marathon bombings and various other breaking news events around the world.

    Ravin holds an MA in International Relations from the Department of War Studies, King's College, London and a bachelor's degree in Politics & Sociology (BSc).

    Lena K. Samuelsson

    Lena K. Samuelsson joined the group management team of Schibsted Media Group in September 2013. Samuelsson is a journalist and was during the 12 years prior to joining the group management team the editor-in-cheif of Svenska Dagbladet in Stockholm, a leading quality and business daily. 
    She also worked at Aftonbladet for many years and serves on several boards such as Schibsted Norway, Hitta.se and 20 Minutos in Spain.

    In 2011 José Sánchez started at EL TIEMPO.COM as Digital Editor. He and his multimedia team have won four international journalism awards in the last five years, including Spain King, GDA, Interamerican Press Society and Ortega Gasset’s. He is currently developing a new strategy to expand EL TIEMPO’s audience and create a new workflow in the newsroom.

Founded in 2012, eldiario.es has became a key news site with high influence in Spain. He masters multimedia skills that has used as a reporter in India, Kosovo, Sahara or Turkey. He is also cofounder of another innovative digital media outlet in Spanish “Periodismo Humano”.
