Ingeborg Heldal is the  Editor in Chief of KK, KK.no and Topp. She worked as a journalist in TV, radio and print and in digital publications for the last 14 years.

She was the Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan, Side2.no and worked with many influencers. 

Ingeborg also hosts her own radioshow and podcasts. 

CEO, Tamedia, Switzerland

Christoph Tonini (CH/I/1969) has been Chief Executive Officer of Tamedia since January 2013. He joined Tamedia in April 2003 as Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Board. In recent years he has headed, among others, the Services, Newspapers Switzerland, Media Switzerland and most recently the Digital & 20 Minuten Division. He was also Deputy CEO from 2007. Before joining Tamedia, Christoph Tonini held various positions for Ringier between 1998 and 2003. Ultimately, he held the position of Head of Ringier Hungary and Romania. Christoph Tonini completed an MBA at St. Gallen University from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, he completed an apprenticeship in offset printing and studied at the Swiss Engineering School for Printing and Packaging (esig) in Lausanne from 1990 to 1993.

Managing Director of Digital News Media Germany , Axel Springer, Germany

Dr. Stephanie Caspar is Managing Director of Digital News Media Germany at Axel Springer. She is responsible for the management of Axel Springer’s digital media assets in Germany (e.g. BILD and WELT) and heads up all relating business, marketing and technology functions.

Stephanie started her professional career at McKinsey & Company. After that she held various management positions at Ebay and Immobilienscout24 before she founded an e-commerce company, Mirapodo, with the Otto Group. In May 2013 she left Mirapodo to head up the WELT Group at Axel Springer and later WeltN24 after the acquisition of N24 early in 2014.

COO & President, Some Spider, USA

Paul Smurl joined Some Spider in May 2015. The Start-Up is launching and operating multiple identity-based digital brands each anchored by relevant content, community and soon commerce. 

Smurl spent the last ten years at The New York Times in digital product development, paid content, advertising sales, strategic planning and business development roles. The latest is as general manager, core digital products, managing the performance and product evolution of core web and mobile products. 

CEO, Rise Interactive, Sweden

Anette Novak is the CEO of Rise Interactive, a Swedish ICT and design research institute focusing on interaction design and UX. Novak is also a member of the Tinius Trust Board of Directors since April 2017, vice president of Fojo Media institute and board member of the World Editors Forum. In 2015-2016 she led a Media Policy Inquiry on behalf of the Swedish Government. She has a solid background from different managerial positions within the media sector. Until 2012, she was editor-in-chief of the regional media house Norran, where she attracted global attention for having launched collaborative journalism.

VP, Audience + Platforms at The New York Times and co-chair, NYT Women's Network, USA

Since July 2014 Grossman-Cohen has served in a number of roles at The New York Times. She started out at NYT as a Managing Director, Marketing New Digital Products and Mobile. Before this position, she was employed by News Corporation as the Vice President, Partner Relations. Currently, she is both the Vice President, Audience + Platforms at The New York Times and co-chair, NYT Women's Network. 

Grossman-Cohen holds a Bachelor's degree from Tufts University and received her Master's of Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. 

Deputy Director of TV, Groupe L'Equipe, France

Laure Bezault has been Deputy Director of TV at L'Equipe since 2016. She participated in the restructuring and editorial repositioning of the L'Equipe channel. The channel, first launched in 1998 on cable and satellite, has been broadcasting free-to-air since 2013. Since 2015, it has more than doubled its audience, raising revenue significantly while controlling costs. It is now the first sports television channel in France, the only one free-to-air. It forms part of the full editorial offer of Groupe l'Equipe, with a print and digital offer, daily and magazine.
Laure Bezault previously held the position of Secretary General of iTélé (Canal + Group's news channel) for 5 years. Previously, she was Editor in Chief for a local television channel, Nantes 7. She began her career at LCI (news channel of the TF1 group), as a journalist specialising in economic issues, after a University degree in Economics and a Masters in Media Management at ESCP-EAP.

   

CEO, Republik, Switzerland

After a chemist apprenticeship, Susanne Sugimoto obtained her Matura (high school degree) and went on to university to study geography and business information technology. Shortly after, she joined the Zürich local council and became secretary for the Swiss Commercial Employees Association where she represented the ground crew of Swissair after the grounding of the company. Out of curiosity, she then moved to the side she used to negotiate wages with: the corporations. She first became head of media relations and then head of communications for supermarket chain Coop. After five years spent at Coop, she worked for the multinational cement company Holcim where she was appointed head of communications for Central Europe. Today, she runs a consulting firm. As managing director of Project R, her job is to keep track of the budget and day-to-day business.

Editor-in-Chief, Fanpage.it, Italy

Francesco Piccinini is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Fanpage.it. He started his professional career as director of AgoraVox Italia and served as digital manager at Caltagirone Editore. Born in 1981, Piccinini studied communication and information sciences and obtained a doctorate from the University of Paris VIII. He lectured in brand strategy and communication at the Ecole Superieure de Gestion in Paris.      

Marketing Director Digital Product and Video, CorrieredellaSera.it, Italy

In her position, Colamussi is responsible for development of digital product at Corriere della Sera: website, mobile and video. She also develops online communication strategy to help the site reach a far greater audience, to identify and implement new business strategy with the aim of monetising content and audience for the news. In addition, she develops social communication activities to spread the brand and its content, to meet followers, fans and other online communities. She also produces new video formats for online audience, as well as manages mobile strategy to develop new formats, applications, commercial initiative. Colamussi is also responsible for managing all media partnerships and events dedicated to the Corriere della Sera digital product.

Independent consultant, Philadelphia, U.S.A.

A veteran digital leader in local media, Eric works as a consultant and trainer to news organizations navigating change. He was most recently managing editor for digital operations at the Philadelphia Media Network, the publisher of The Inquirer, Daily News and Philly.com, where he oversaw visual journalism, content management tools and training and helped lead a top-to-bottom reorganization of the newsroom last year. He joined the company in 2014 as executive director of digital strategy before moving into the newly unified newsroom in 2016 to oversee digital efforts. He previously led digital news and product development at The Seattle Times and held a number of digital roles at the Los Angeles Times, where he co-founded the paper's award-winning Data Desk. He has taught journalism at the University of Southern California and the University of British Columbia and was a 2013 fellow in the Sulzberger Leadership Program at Columbia University.

Director, E-Business and digital subscriptions, Le Figaro, France

Since 2015, Gilles Corbineau is Director of e-business and digital subscriptions at Le Figaro. He participated in launching and developing Le Figaro Premium.  Previously, Corbineau was head of CRM and Data for the group.  

Prior to Le Figaro, he contributed in developing Firstream, a start-up specialized in commercializing paid subscriptions, and he was a consultant at Andersen Business Consulting. 

Corbineau began his career in the U.K. and the U.S. in the media industry, after earning his business degree in France at ESC Rouen and his MBA in the U.K. at the University of Hull.

SVP Consumer Marketing and Revenue, Schibsted Media, Norway

Tor is now SVP Consumer Marketing and Revenue at Schibsted Media, with responsibility for subscription revenue across Schibsted´s publishing brands. Tor has previosly had different positions at VG, VG Mobile, Aftenposten, and Schibsted Norway´s 4 subscriptions newspapers. Tor also has experience from Telenor, Deloitte and Nielsen.

Fiona McKinnon is an Independent Media Consultant with over 17 years’ experience in the Digital Advertising Industry.  Fiona’s experience is Global having built businesses, launched products and mentored teams across UK, Europe, Australasia and North America. 

Fiona has held senior Commercial, Product, Operations and Management positions in ad tech businesses including The Exchange Lab, Adconion, Agency Republic and Adviva Media.  

Fiona founded Turn Left Digital in 2014 and specialises in advising Publishers, Advertisers and Ad tech businesses on programmatic strategy, technology innovation, digital mentoring and new product launches.  Fiona currently advises as the General Manager of The Pangaea Alliance, a media collaboration between CNNIC, The Guardian, Reuters, Mansueto and Dennis Publishing.

Per Westergård has been editor-in-chief and CEO in a number of Danish magazines, local, regional and national newspapers, print and digital. Until 2016 he was coordinating editor-in-chief and director in Jysk Fynske Medier, the second largest private media group in Denmark (13 dailies, 64 weeklies, 4 radio stations and a great number of web sites). Today he is a board member, writer and part time circumnavigator. He currently holds positions as board member in six Danish media companies: Jysk Fynske Medier, Fynske Medier, Fyens Stiftstidende, Ritzau, Dansk Handelsblad and Constructive Institute (chairman).

Gadi Lahav is Head of Product for FT.com. He has led the development of the new FT website, the fastest publisher website worldwide, winner of Best Website of The Year by British Press Awards and Newsawards, and Best Use of Technology by Digiday and INMA.  Prior to that he was Senior Product Manager at Amazon, Director of Business Development at Wochit and VP Digital of Haaretz, Israel's leading quality publisher.

Em Kuntze is a UK-based freelance writer and the Content Insights’ Content Officer.  Kuntze holds a Bachelor Degree in American History and Politics and a Master Degree in American History.   

Managing Editor, The Local Europe, Sweden

Paul O'Mahony is managing editor of The Local Europe, a network of nine sites covering the continent's news in English. He has lived in Sweden for almost 20 years and previously worked as a reporter and editor-in-chief of thelocal.se, the network's first national edition. Paul joined the digital-only publication as its first full-time employee in 2006. He is currently overseeing a shift to a membership model.
