Rosental Calmon Alves is a professor of journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, where he holds the Knight Chair in Journalism and the UNESCO Chair in Communication and is also the founder and director of the Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas. Created in 2002, the center has benefited thousands of journalists around the world with training programs. In Latin America and the Caribbean, the center has helped journalists to create a new generation of organizations dedicated to elevating the professional and ethical standards of journalism in their countries. In 2016 was awarded with the Maria Moors Cabot Prize.

Ezequiel Arbusti is a specialist in online audience development, digital content creation and planning for websites and Social Media for media and brands. He is a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Content Management System (CMS) consultant, with a focus on entertainment. He has helped various digital mediums, such as TKM and Terra, to grow their operations in Latin America. Arbusti holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in Corporate Finance. He currently works as a consultant and speaker on Digital Media topics.

Executive Director, Interactive Advertising Bureau - IAB, Colombia

For 9 years, she has been the Executive Director of the Interactive Advertising Bureau - IAB Colombia, an international organization that promotes the development of the Digital Marketing and Advertising industry. As director of this organization, she has managed to significantly increase the number of associated companies and has carried out different academic and research activities to promote the evolution of the industry. She has supported the creation of  Marketing and Digital Advertising certifications with some of the best universities in the country (CESA, Jorge Tadeo Lozano, EAFIT, ICESI, University of Caldas, among others).For 10 years, she served as Executive Director for Colombia of the Effie Awards, one of the most important awards in the advertising industry with 45 years of effective advertising promotion. Olga has worked for important companies such as Banco Davivienda, McCann-Erickson, El Espectador and ANDA (National Advertisers Association) in her 24 years of work experience.

Partner Director of Intelligence, Research and Analysis of FSB Comunicação, the largest corporate communications agency in Brazil and Latin America. Ana Busch is in charge of the production of strategic content for more than 100 clients from federal ministries to B2C companies. She has also been director of the Advertising and Digital areas.

As part of the company's compliance committee, she developed and implemented a special integrity program for communication companies, as well as a new methodology for internal communication for compliance. She is also a member of the Brazilian Association of Compliance, Risks and Audit.

For 13 years, she has been the director of digital media at Folha de S.Paulo, the largest and most influential newspaper in Brazil. Responsible for the strategic management of the Group's business on the Internet and for project management in the areas of technology development and content for websites and mobile devices, including commercial guidelines.

Ana Busch was responsible, in 1999, for the planning, hiring of personnel, launch and publication of Folha Online, the first real-time newspaper in Portuguese language, which she directed for 11 years. During this period, she was the Head of the Editorial Department and the Commercial Team of the website.

She graduated in Architecture and Journalism from the University of São Paulo.

Digital communication's expert with vast experience in designing, structuring and leading digital content and operations teams with a proven track record in strategic redefinitions that resulted in tangible audience and income growth at 2 of LATAM´s most influential media powerhouses and one digital Marketing pioneer for Spanish speakers. In the media industry, he led the convergence and product development processes and management of the Digital Content and Operations (Tech, PD & UX) teams behind Grupo Santo Domingo's Information properties (El Espectador, Caracol TV, Blu Radio, Gol Caracol, CineColombia, Cromos, Shock...) Selymar has been with Univision since 2006 working across various roles and going up the ranks as producer for Sunday show, Al Punto, hosted by Jorge Ramos. A digital pioneer, Colón championed the use of social media in the newsroom and created a team of multimedia producers to produce digital only videos in her role as director of digital integration.

Colón has produced the coverage of the Haiti earthquake and World Cup in 2010, President Obama’s second inauguration, one of the first interviews with the first Hispanic Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, digital special “The Hispanics of the President” and Spanish-language network exclusive interview with Hillary Clinton in 2015. Univision News the first to Periscope an interview with a presidential candidate. Her efforts contributed to Univision News winning awards for Children of the Border online coverage of the Humanitarian Crisis at the U.S.-Mexican border and TV news special “Meet the Candidates.”

Named a 40 under 40 : Latinos in American Politics by the Huffington Post, Colón holds an M.S.  in Investigative Journalism from Florida International University and a B.A. in Communications and Business from Lynn University.

Guido Culasso Moore

Digital Creative Director, Consultant and Producer, with broad experience in creating digital editorial products aiming at creating large audiences in LATAM. Guido was one of the founders of Grupo Clarín Digital Unit in Argentina back in 1994. He actively participated to the development of Clarin.com, its vertical and classifieds online portals. Since 2004, he works in the region for media companies and brands such as Fox Sports Latam, CNN en Español, Clarín, TN y Canal 13 de Argentina, El Comercio de Perú, El Debate de México, El Universo de Ecuador, Canal 13 de Chile, Intel, Philip Morris and Coca Cola.

Rodrigo Fino

Rodrigo leads García Media® Latinoamérica's projects in LATAM. He conceptualises and implements the guidelines of each new design and re-design. He developped the 97 projets currently the company currently runs from its Buenos Aires offices. Before joining, García Media® and founding its LATAM office, he worked in advertising and marketing. He founded his first design and advertising studio at the age of 20.

Senior Editor, Digital Transition Strategy, The New York Times, USA

Charo Henríquez is a digital media executive based in New York City. She has extensive experience working in the intersection of journalism and technology, as well as coaching and mentoring journalists. 

She currently works at The New York Times as Senior Editor of Digital Transition Strategy on the organization's Digital Transition team. She started at the Times in 2017, as a Sr. Editor of Digital Storytelling and Training.

Charo is also a member of Online News Association's Board of Directors and of the Advisory Council Board to the Spanish-language Journalism Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School one of Journalism at the City University of New York.

Before her work at The New York Times, Charo was the Digital Executive Editor for People en Español at Time, Inc. Prior to that, she worked at GFR Media, in her native Puerto Rico. During her tenure at GFR Media she led digital product efforts in the newsroom as their Innovation Editor. While at GFR she also held the positions of Associate Business Director and digital editor for El Nuevo Día and Primera Hora.

Charo specializes in leading innovation and developing strategic and product thinking plans for newsrooms, digital content optimization and audience development with a human-centric approach. 

She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Broadcasting from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico.

Ismael is the Digital and Editorial Director of National Geographic España magazine, part of the Grupo RPA. He He is the author of the book "The Reinvention of the New York Times" and editor of the weekly newsletter Tendenci@s on the latest digital media trends. Ismael Nafría is an independent journalist, writer, editor, consultant and speaker specialized in digital media. He was journalist in residence at The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas at University of Texas at Austin for the 2016-2017 during which he wrote his book on the NYTimes, his fourth. He was the Digital Innovation and Content Director (2011-2016) at Grupo Godo and deputy editor at Prisacom, the Internet company of Grupo PRISA (2005-2008) . He has led several consultancy projects for media companies worldwide and is the author of three other books on journalism and digital media. He's also a jury member for many of WAN-IFRA's Digital Media Awards worldwide.

Conz is originally from Argentina but grew up bouncing around all over the world. She landed in Brooklyn where she met her husband and had a baby boy. Before her role at Mother.ly as editor for MotherlyStories, she was at Buzzfeed where she was the Regional Director of the Americas, launching Buzzfeed Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Spain and LATAM. Before that she held positions at Univision, Mashable and MySpace.

Carmen is Managing Partner at SDI Consuting in Caracas, a firm specialised in transformation and Media creation. She is also COO at Runrun.es. and consultant in Visual Journalism. She has worked as Head of the Visual Journalism and Graphics Department of the integrated newsroom  at Cadena Capriles Media Group in Caracas. In there, she was responsible for the areas of infographics, Video and Archives of the group's three brands.      She's a graduate in Social Communication, from the Central University of Venezuela and a Specialist in Project management, development and planning at the University of Monteávila. She is the creator of Venezuela's Information Design Seminar in 2007 and coordinated all its editions. She has participated as a speaker in numerous events such as "The Best of Visual Journalism" ÑH2012, III, the 5th Protecmedia Congress for Newspapers in LATAM , Digital Media LATAM 2014, or "The newsroom 2015: Trends for the Multimedia Business (SIP)". Aditionally she has been a member of the Jury for the SND Awards.

Gabriel Sama is the editor-in-chief of CNET en Español, a technology site based in San Francisco, California. Gabriel has more than 20 years of experience in the publishing world and is an expert in launching new projects on all platforms. Gabriel has launched newspapers, magazines and websites as editorial director in Mexico and the United States for companies such as Editorial Televisa, Recoletos and CBS Interactive. Among those projects are the magazine Quo (Mexico, 1997), the newspaper chain Rumbo (San Antonio, Texas, 2004) and CNET en Español (San Francisco, California, 2013). He has also been an editorial consultant for projects in Mexico, El Salvador, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, Dubai, Greece and Russia.

Gabriel graduated from Communication at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico and has a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York, where he graduated with honors in 2000. He also received the prestigious Knight scholarship from Stanford University in 2010 Gabriel lives with his wife and children in Palo Alto, California.

Cristina Tardáguila is the founder and director of Agência Lupa, the first fact-checking newswire service in Brazil. She graduated from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in 2002, got her master’s degree in Journalism in Madrid in 2004 and her MBA degree on digital marketing in 2017, from Fundação Getulio Vargas, in Rio. Cristina in 38 year old and has worked at the two major daily newspapers in Brazil - O Globo and Folha de S.Paulo -, besides revista piauí and Agencia EFE. Cris is the author of two books by Intrinseca: "A Arte do Descaso" (about the biggest Brazilian art heist) and "Você foi Enganado" (about presidential lies). In 2017 she gave two TEDx talks on false news.

Caio Túlio Costa

Caio Túlio Costa was one of the founders of UOL, Latin America's largest internet portal, and is an Internet pioneer in Brazil, expert in digital media, journalist, teacher of journalism and Ph.D. in Communication by the University of São Paulo, Brazil.

Professor at Escola de Propaganda e Marketing in São Paulo, Costa was Visiting Research Fellow at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York.
At Columbia University, Costa conducted a research to map the possible business models for the communications industry in the digital age. Costa wrote a report about the research: “A Business Model for Digital Journalism: How Newspapers should Embrace Technology, Social and Value Added Services”.

Costa is also partner of Caeté Communication and integrates the boards of Fundação Padre Anchieta (TV Cultura), Transparency Brazil, Revista Pesquisa FAPESP and Revista de Jornalismo ESPM.

He worked for 21 years at the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo where he was editor, managing editor, foreign correspondent in Paris (France) and creator of Revista da Folha (a newspaper magazine). He was also appointed to be the first ombudsman of the Brazilian press.

Within the same communication group, Costa was one of the founders in 1996 of Universe Online (UOL), the foremost portal and Internet Service Provider in Latin America, of which he was Chief Operating Officer for seven years.

In 2006 he assumed the presidency of Internet Group, Internet arm of Brasil Telecom, a big Brazilian telco, consolidating the portals and internet service providers’ iG, iBest and BrTurbo. In 2009 he consulted for Oi (another large Brazilian telco) about digital convergent media platforms.

Nicolás has more than fifteen years of experience in developing new media. For a decade he led the digital strategy of  El Universo de Ecuador media group. Today he advises media companies in digital development and strategy for their audiences.
