Breakfast Session

ICC Durban, Meeting room 11

As part of the WAN-IFRA World News Media Congress in Durban, Google will be hosting a breakfast panel discussion for women in news media.

Addressing the theme of ‘Gender Representation in the Age of Social Media – How Can and Should the Media Address Gender Bias in News Reporting?’, panellists will discuss ongoing biases in reporting including double standards with regards to nudity, objectification, and stereotyping, and how media and advertisers play into these.

We hope that you can join us to discuss these important issues and voice your opinions.

Refreshments will be served.
