Long term plans to change news publishers’ business models are under the microscope: including The New York Times 2020 project; Schibsted’s Next Gen of publishing products and Tony Haile’s search for industry answers via the new startup: Scroll. In part one of the session we will look at Haile’s project as Scroll is dedicated to “solving the problem of how to have sustainable, quality journalism on a free and open web.” The second speaker of this session, Torry Pedersen, will give an update on the status of Schibsted’s plan for the future.
