New Frontiers: Virtual and Augmented Reality in News and Advertising

A handful of newspapers (USA Today, WSJ, Washington Post, New York Times and so forth) are experimenting with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) to take the fledgling technology from the use of gee-whiz type travel to actual news coverage.

The tools for VR and AR are improving weekly. In almost no time, we will all be adapting our editorial calendars for these new storytelling genres, which also offers opportunities for brands and advertising.
