Gai Le Roy

Gai is the CEO of IAB Australia which is the peak advocacy, research & standards body representing digital media and advertising. Gai has worked in the media industry for 30 years and the digital ad industry since 1998. Prior to running the IAB Gai held senior data, strategy and research roles at Fairfax Media, Nielsen and ninemsn. Gai is a global leader in media strategy, effectiveness and measurement as well as building and managing teams that help close the divide between digital and traditional marketing.

Ian Hocking is Vice-President for Digital at the South China Morning Post where he provides strategic direction and leadership to deliver sustainable revenue across all SCMP digital platforms. He is responsible for the company’s digital agenda both internationally and in Hong Kong, ensuring digital operations deliver the highest quality experience for SCMP’s marketing partners.

Mr Hocking was previously Head of Programmatic and Data at NewsUK, a division of News Corp, which publishes The Sun and The Times of London, where he successfully led adtech and strategic partnerships, building their capabilities and reputation to an internationally renowned standard.

Before joining NewsUK, Mr. Hocking was the Head of Agency Sales and Programmatic for ebay.co.uk.

Igor holds a PhD in Economics with specializations in Energy Economics. His areas of expertise are mainly Research, Data Science, Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning. Experience from research, analysis and writing of articles/reports in addition to development of analytical platform for data extraction, visualization, analysis and forecast for energy markets.

Joey Chung

Joey Chung is the Co-Founder and CEO of The News Lens, one of the fastest growing new digital news sites in Asia which was started in mid 2013. Before starting The News Lens, he was with the Japanese multinational character and media company Sanrio, first starting out in San Francisco and Los Angeles as its Business Development Manager before being sent as President of its China Operations in Shanghai between 2011-2013 after of which he left to start The News Lens. Before that, he worked for Polo Ralph Lauren in New York, the Equity Research Department of investment bank UBS, and was a reporter and columnist for The Taipei Times.

Lissa Cup

Lissa Cupp is a member at Blue Engine Collaborative. As a marketing strategy consultant, she works with tech and media companies to drive audience, digital subscriptions, loyalty, and revenue, including serving as a Coach and Speaker in several Facebook Accelerator programs internationally. She was most recently the Chief Marketing Officer for BH Media Group, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. She oversaw brand and marketing for the company, including driving growth for print and digital products across 100 metro news organizations.

Prior to joining BH Media, Lissa was SVP of Consumer & e-Commerce at Angie’s List, responsible for audience building, consumer revenue, subscription & e-Commerce. Lissa teaches Digital and Omni-Channel Marketing, New Product Development, and Global Marketing at the University of Dayton in the Undergraduate and MBA programs.

Raju Chellam is the Chief Editor of the AI Ethics & Governance Body of Knowledge, an initiative by the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) & IMDA. He is the Honorary Chair of Cloud & Data Standards under IT Standards Committee, Fellow of SCS, and Fellow of the Advanced Computing for Executives at the NUS School of Computing. He was BizIT Editor of The Business Times, and a cybersecurity columnist of The Straits Times in Singapore.

Dr Rasmus Kleis Nielsen is Director at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism and serves as Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Press/Politics.

His work focuses on changes in the news media, on political communication, and the role of digital technologies in both. He has done extensive research on journalism, American politics, and various forms of activism, and a significant amount of comparative work in Western Europe and beyond.

Tan Lee Chin

Lee Chin is the Chief Operating Office (Content & Commercial) for Sin Chew Media Corporation. She currently heads the digital content and media lab department in Sin Chew, overseeing its digital assets such as www.sinchew.com.my and Pocketimes.

She joined Sin Chew Daily in 2008 as a culture and education reporter after a short stint in legal practice. Her digital journey started when she assumed the role of chief editor to the website of the paper in 2011.  Since then, she has spearheaded different digital content projects and initiatives within Sin Chew Media Group.

Tomas Bella is web director and executive board member at Denník N, an independent Slovak daily paper that also develops open-source software for publishers Remp2020.com. Previously he was editor-in-chief of the most popular Slovak news site and CEO of Piano Media.

Vincent Martin

Vincent Martin is the co-founder of Jixie, the data management and revenue optimisation platform for publishers, and a subsidiary of Kompas Gramedia, the #1 online media giant in Indonesia. He was previously appointed as the pioneer team to lead APAC development for Dailymotion as EVP, then appointed as the COO of IVS, a Singapore based company providing global video solutions. Before coming to Asia, Vincent was in charge of Internet TV and video services for Orange, a top European and African telco. His primary area of interest was business intelligence and risk management.
