Clare Cook is co-founder of the Media Innovation Studio, a research centre at Uclan university, UK. Its primary aim is to unlock meaningful innovation in journalism. The impact of MIS is felt globally through its network of industry partners, enterprises and communities. Her work is guided by the principles of open innovation, a mindset that seeks impact beyond the silos of intradisciplinary or corporate research labs. She is currently developing a platform to create and capture new revenues for hyperlocals in the UK news supply chain, funded by Google DNI.
