Fazal Ashfaq is part of the APAC News Partnerships team at Google, working on the Google News Initiative and strategic partnerships with News Publishers. His work includes leading scaled, regional and global programs such as the APAC Innovation Challenge, the Journalism Emergency Relief fund as well as extensive work with local news publishers.

Fazal led the performance business for the South Asia Emerging Markets before joining News Partnerships and was part of the team that established Google’s presence in the region.

He has been at Google for over 7 years and is based in Singapore.
