I am head of Indian Languages for the BBC working from Delhi. I am responsible for BBC Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi , Gujarati and Punjabi operation in India. We are on digital/TV and radio platforms. I am responsible to guarantee the excellence and originality of an impartial, robust and engaging Languages editorial output. My Job is to enhance the strength, depth, range and quality of all their multimedia outputs and to guard the BBC journalistic and editorial standards within India. I act as editorial reference point for Language Services in the country. I have worked in London and Nigeria as well. Prior to this I was Executive editor of BBC Media Action in Nigeria. BBC Media Action is the BBC's international development charity, which uses media and communications to help reduce poverty and support people to understand their rights. We produced creative and compelling outputs for radio, TV, and mobiles which inform and engage audiences on key development issues.
